Plain vinyl wallpapers are even more durable but are thick and difficult to remove once installed.

Flocked wallpapers have a raised pattern and feel like velvet to the touch. Because they are nice to "pet," flocked papers often begin to show dirt and wear quickly. The most expensive wallpapers are hand-printed and often custom desgined. They shoud only be installed by professional paperhangers.

The most common printing types used in wallpaper are surface, flexographic, gravure, and screen. Both the printing process and the products are expensive. The most costly printing, however, is gravure for its ability to achieve compelte continuous color gradiations from 100 to 5 percent tone.
