Want to Revamp Your Home? Change Your Wallpaper First

Want to revamp your home? Then try changing the existing wallpaper or installing something new.
Nowadays there are plenty of websites offering free wallpaper installation tips and wallpaper borders for sale online. With easy installation and a wide range of selections, wallpapering a room is a fast, low-cost redecorating technique.

Wallpaper is a material that is usually used to cover and to decorate interior walls. The covering is sold in rolls and is affixed to the surface of the wall with a special paste. Wallpaper installation cost depends on many factors including the size of the wall and your choice and tastes. The best wallpapers and those offered as discount wallpaper will vary widely in cost.

Wallpaper is freqently ignored as a key part of an attractive home. The perfect wallpaper will add character to any room in the house, allowing the homeowner to cheaply and quickly change the "look" at any time. Wallpaper will create the best tone for any room in your house from a brightly decorated nursery to a soft bedroom background

What Types of Wallpapers are Available?

There are many types of wallpaper available beginning with pulps, which are the cheapest and the easiest to remove. This grade of wallpaper is simply that - paper-with a pattern printed on its surface. The greatest difficulty presented by pulps is their tendency to strech during installation making the consistent alignment and matching of the paper's pattern difficult.

Washable wallpapers have a thin coat of clear plastic over the pulp and are more resistant to stains and marks. These papers can be regularly wiped and cleaned. Vinyl -coated wallpapers are composed of a thin skin of plastic with a paper backing. These wallpapers are tough and durable, being particularly well-suited to kitchens and bathrooms. Plain vinyl wallpapers are even more durable but are thick and difficult to remove once installed.

Flocked wallpapers have a raised pattern and feel like velvet to the touch. Because they are nice to "pet," flocked papers often begin to show dirt and wear quickly. The most expensive wallpapers are hand-printed and often custom desgined. They shoud only be installed by professional paperhangers.

The most common printing types used in wallpaper are surface, flexographic, gravure, and screen. Surface printing produces a stencil-like effect and is a method used to produce many florals and country patterns. More delicate designs and tonal effects are achieved with flexographic printing while screen or "silk" screen printing is reserved for specialty and custom products. Both the printing process and the products are expensive. The most costly printing, however, is gravure for its ability to achieve compelte continuous color gradiations from 100 to 5 percent tone. (The cost of any wallpaper will result from a combination of material and printing type. Sometime a wallpaper discount price will be available if a product is about to be discontinued.)
